In order to familiarize you with the procedures that will be followed during your course with us, we have designed this handbook which states all the rules and regulation of Varunam. Admission

  • Admission to a programme depends upon the eligibility criteria for that particular programme as defined from time to time.
  • Admission to any programme is non-transferable to any other individual.
  • It is the sole responsibility of the student to keep updating the information provided to the centre at the time of admission. This includes the correspondence/mailing address, phone number and E-mail ID. These details will be used for delivery of any courier. Postal or electronic part of the service from time to time.
  • Enrolment Form:
    • The admission is deemed to be complete only if the Enrolment Form is completely filled up, the photographs attached the form duly signed by the candidate. The Student has to commit and register for a Particular batch at any centre.
    • Filling up the Enrolment form by a person other than the candidate is not generally accepted. In the case someone is filling up the form on behalf of the candidate. It is preferred that the person is the guardian. The student is required to attest the guardians signature before starting the course.
  • Identity Card:
    • At the time of admission, the student must submit of the centre one recent passport size photograph. After admission, an identity card will be issued to the student. He/She should receive the Card within 21 days of admission or confirmation of a batch. Whichever is late. The student should carry the identity Card at all times during the course. The Card is valid only till the date mentioned on it. Checking of the Identity Card can happen at any time by the Centre executive, and the Varunam executive has the right to stop the student from attending the class if found without the Identity Card. If the identity Card is lost, the student should immediately contact the centre he/she enrolled at with any application for a duplicate identity card with the subject as: Request for a Duplicate Identity Card. Along with the application the student needs to make a payment of 100 towards processing charges for the duplicate Card. The duplicate Card will be issued to the student with in 14 working days of submitting the application.
    • If the student enrolls again for another Programme, a new Identity Card will be issued for the course.

Batch

  • At the time of admission the Student will be given a choice of batches with respect to centre and time. He/She has to choose and commit to a particular batch at the time of enrolment else the admission is considered to be incomplete.
  • Each Batch is restricted to have only a optimum number of students. Once a batch is filled to its maximum capacity, no enrolment for that batch will be allowed.
  • Each batch will have a specified schedule and the students of the batch are expected to follow the given schedule. in case of any charges, approval of the centre Head will need to be taken.
  • Once a student enrolls for a particular Batch, no request for a change in batch will be entertained. Any special case will have to be discussed with the respective Centre Head and an application to that effect has to be given to him/her. A processing Charge of 300 will be charged for intra-centre transfers.
  • The Identity Card will carry the batch details of the student. Hence, in case of batch transfer a new Identity Card will be issued to the student from the centre within 14 days of transfer.

Payment:-T&C and Dispatch of Study Material

    Mode or Payment:
  • The mode of payment will be specific to the programme enrolled. For any course that is long term in nature (more than 45 days) students can make payments through cash/cheque online or DD. Outstation cheques are not accepted. For any course that is short-term (45 days or less) in nature, payment can be made only through cash/DD. No Cheque in this case will be accepted. A receipt will be given stating a amount and mode a payment as well as the batch details. The receipt has to be signed by the executive accepting the payment.
  • In case the cheque bounces, the students admission stands suspended until the payment is cleared. The student will have to make the penalty of 200.
    Installment Payment:
  • The mode of payment will be specific to the programme enrolled. For any course that is long term in nature (more than 45 days) students can make payments through cash/cheque online or DD. Outstation cheques are not accepted. For any course that is short-term (45 days or less) in nature, payment can be made only through cash/DD. No Cheque in this case will be accepted. A receipt will be given stating a amount and mode a payment as well as the batch details. The receipt has to be signed by the executive accepting the payment.
  • A student who opts for the installment scheme of payment will have to deposit a post-dated cheque for the payments of all the future installments. Each batch will have a specific date for second installment and the post-dated cheque will be sent for clearing on that pre-specified date. There is no installment plan for short-duration course. Student who fail to pay their installments on the due date will be called defaulters.
    Study Material:
  • The packets of study material shall be given to the student by the respective centre.
  • All the subsequent packets shall be given at the respective centre as per the academic schedule of classes. Student has to provide his/her identity card for the same.
  • No packet of study material shall be given to the student who is a defaulter.

Admission fee policy:

  • In case of enrolments from March 2021, the following admission fee will not be refundable to the students.
  • There will be no admission fee for future map products.

Refunds:

  • In case a student wishes to withdraw from the course. He/She will have to write an application to the Centre Head who will then refer the case to the Director.
  • If The student applies for refund of fee 7 or more days before the commencement of the batch he/she is enrolled in admission fee will be refund. In case the course duration is less than 45 days, than in addition to the admission fee 25% of the total fee shall be deducted as processing charges.
  • If Student applies for refund within 7days before the commencement of the batch, in addition to the admission fee 25% of the total in fee for the course will be deducted for all long term courses (45 days above), for short term course (less than 45 days) 50% of the total fee in addition to the admission fees shall be deducted towards processing charges.
  • If a students is found to have less than 50% in graduation later on, the fee will not be refunded.
  • Once a student applies for refund within 15 days of the start of the batch, then 50% of the total course fee shall be deducted as processing charges and the balance refund. This is not applicable to course which are short- term (45 days or less)

Scholarship/Discounts:

    Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship
  • MCM will be made available to students who deserve support for their preparation. It would be in the form of a fee waiver/scholarship during the course of the programme. The extent of the scholarship would be decided on an individual case-to-case basis and left to the discretion of the Regional Head.

    To apply for the scholarship, the student has to submit an application addressed to the Centre Head along with.
    • An income declaration of the parent/guardian and certified.
    • Mark-sheets of the Board and University exam.
    • In case of certain programmes, the student might also need to take a least, the results of which will be used in determining the merit of the student.
    Discounts:
  • Discounts are offered to ex-students, the amount of which will be programme.
  • Special discount for the children of defence personnel.
  • Specific, Special Discounts, if any, can be obtained only at the recommendation of the Director.

Discipline:

    Methodology
  • The Medium of instruction in all course is normally english. Each session will be of a specific duration and will depended on the nature of the programme.

    Home assignments and exercises form an integral part of the learning process. The completion of the learning process. The completion of the home assignment is a prerequisite to effective learning in the classroom.
    Attendance:
  • In order to achieve the desired progress, if is mandatory for the student to attend classes regularly. It is imperative that each student has at least 75% attendance during the entire course of the programme. the particular centre will maintain attendance records batch wise.
  • If the student needs to take leave for a particular time for a genuine reason. He/She needs to inform the centre executive/ head accordingly.
  • Adjustments for the sessions can be made before leave is taken so that the student does not end up missing any part of the course.
  • If any student is absent without notification for 7 consecutive sessions, the management reserves the right to take his/her name off the rolls.
  • In case of irregular attendance the parent/guardian might be informed and for those who are short of attendance without any valid reason, the management reserves the right to debar him/her from the rest of the course.
    Class Discipline:
  • Each faculty play the role of friend and mentor and not a strict disciplinarian however, in order to the course fruitful for all students. Basic of discipline such as punctuality and order need to be maintained.

Communication to Student:

    Notice Boards:
  • Any charge that effects the students will be conveyed to him/her via the faculty or the student’s notice board at the particular centre. It is mandatory for every student to read the notice board whenever he/she comes for a class and check batch schedules, timing etc. However, if a clarification is needed, the student can call up the respective center executive. It is the respective centre and check the status with the respective centre executive. It is the student’t responsibility to apprise himself herself of the communications made from time to time, irrespective of whether he/she is attending classes or not.
    Programme Changes:
  • In case of any objection to any of the changes, the student is expected top voice them, top the center concerned so that correction, if possible, can be made in time. In case of no objections, the change will be considered as accepted, and therefore, implemented.

Student Feedback & Grievance Redressal:

  • In order to improve the quality of services provide by us, we activity seek and appreciate feedback from student about our service.
  • There is also a suggestion/feedback box at each centre to address student feedback and grievance. Feedback on the course structure, material, is sought during formal feedback sessions conducted during and after the course of the programme. As part of your commitment to continuous improvement, we welcome your feedback.
    Assistance from Varunam representatives
  • Student can approach the Centre Executives in case of any problem pertaining to session schedules, study material or other administrative issues.
  • For any Programme-related assistance, students can approach any Varunam member with queries or problems and seek guidance. In case the query is not addressed, the student can contact the Centre Head.
